Novus 650

Introduced in 1974 by National Semiconductor.

It could do the basic four arithmetic operations. It is of great interest however, as it like Hewlett Packard, was using the RPN notation, instead of the common algebraic notation found in most calculators.

Decimal point hard coded to give two fractional digits.

The calculator in build with a two chip set and one LED module of National Semiconductor:

MM 5736N 6 Digit calculator
DS 75492N MOS to LED hex digit driver
NSA1166 6 Digit LED display module

Serial number: 051488
